Submission of CIRCUFOOD project for the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme

Interreg Atlantic Area is the Transnational Cooperation Programme for 36 atlantic regions in five countries created by the European Union.

A partnership led by the Mancomunidad de Municipios Sostenibles de Cantabria has submitted its candidancy for the 2018 Call with the support of Edintra. Under the Priority Axis “Fostering Resource Efficiency” the project sets out the launch of territorial initiatives which connect waste food generation with its collection and treatment for compost generation and its later use in urban gardens and small farms that, in turn, contribute to an agroecological production distributed among schools and restaurant businesses. These initiatives should be useful to feed the Local/Regional Strategies for Sustainable Development based on circular economy. The project’s title is CIRCUFOOD.

Edintra’s contributions are based on its services of advising, drafting and submission of projects and composition of consortia.
